Good Evening Delegates,
We hope you are all staying safe during this sudden period of uncertainty. We would like to discuss a matter of serious concern and would respect if you read the entire message completely and do not miss out on any details.
Due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak, Singapore Government has increased its disease alert system level from Yellow to Orange. The security level of Orange entails that all non-essential meetings, gatherings and conferences be cancelled or deferred with immediate effect. If not cancelled, they require temperature monitoring and travel declarations and increased hygiene and cleaning facilities. Under the advice of NTU’s Student Affairs Office and the Ministries of Education and Health in Singapore, we have decided to postpone the conference to Early October (tentative dates: 16 - 18 October 2020). We are still trying to finalize the details of the postponed conference as a lot of logistics need to be coordinated. We request you to please give us a couple of days to get to you with the complete details of the postponed conference.
We understand that a lot of you may not be able to make it to the postponed conference and may want to withdraw from the conference all together. Considering that this postponement is beyond our control, we would like to make up for the lost opportunity by refunding 100% of the cost of the conference back to those delegates who would want to withdraw from the conference. If you would like to withdraw, please fill in the form attached below by 20th February 2020 latest.
We assure you that we will keep updating you as and when the details of the postponed conference start getting clearer. We appreciate your support and understanding on this matter. Thanks a lot for your support. We still look forward to meeting and welcoming you in October!
